Escudo de Armas de la Ciudad de Puebla, en México.

Fue dado a la ciudad por el emperador Carlos V de España, por eso las iniciales en el escudo (Karolus V). La imagen del castillo de cinco torres hace referencia a la opulencia de la ciudad, mientras que los angeles sujetando un liston hacen referencia a la leyenda del trazado perfecto de la ciudad. La leyenda en torno al escudo esta escrita en latín y dice "ANGELIS SVIS DEVS MANDAVIT DE TE VT CVSTODEANTE IN OBNIVS TVIS VIIS" Angelis suis Deus mandavit de te ut custodeante in obnibus tuis viis (Dios mandó a sus ángeles para que te cuiden en todos tus caminos)
