English: Full-page miniature of the Last Supper. All four Gospels have accounts of the Last Supper but this miniature comes closest to that of John, according to whom Christ identified Judas as the traitor by offering him the morsel of dipped bread (John 13.21-30). This miniature and that on the facing leaf (Christ Washing the Feet of the Disciples) were intended to be seen as a diptych. Painted by the Passion Artist.
